Actually none of these is the correct answer. A Menorah has 7 candle places and is used at Passover and other generally holidays. and what we use at Hanukkah is a hanukkiah. It has nine candle holders. we use the Hnaukkiah at Hanukkah because of the 8 days and symbols of the oil that lasted 8 when there was only enough for one. So Im not sure how to answer this one. :<{

In 1958, what country's national bank created special coins

1. A trick question: the first day of Hanukkah is the 25th of Kislev, which can fall anywhere from November to January.
2. 8, but days are marked from sundown to sundown.
3. Another trick question: the candleabra is erroneously called a menorah, but it is a specific type of menorah called a hanukkiah. The goyish equivalent would be calling Christmas a birthday, when for Christians it is a specific birthday - that of Jesus.
4. 9, one for each day and another to light them all.
5. Maccabeus, for whom the annual games are named.
6. Antiochus IV, originally called Mithrabates, but changed to Antiochus (his older brother's name) upon ascension to the throne.
7. I am willing to be wrong here, but Carthage I do not believe was a country. In any event, Antiochus was king of the Seleucid Empire.
8. Dreidel, which is also the name of the top that you spin. It has four sides: A great| thing| happened| here. To commemorate the dedication (or chanukka) of the Temple.
9. My guess would be Yisrael, and if so I didn't know this fact.
10. Latkas, which are traditionally served by Ashkanazi (european Jews) with applesauce and sour cream.
